Stationary Box...Christmas Giftables Class

How fun is this cute box!? I got the awesome tutorial from Jackie Topa. I was kind of intimidated by the idea at first but it is a very simple project. It would make a great Christmas gift for teachers, family and friends. The possibilities are endless. I created this particular one as a door prize for a friend. I used a "Thank you" theme for most of the cards. The paper is textured cardstock in Pumpkin Pie and Basic Gray. The Designer paper is from a retired Simply Scrappin Kit: Crew Kids Boy. I used various stamp sets: All Holidays, Eastern Blooms and Say it with Scallops. The box includes 4 cards with envelopes, 3 tags, 3 (3x3) notecards, a place for stamps, a post it pad, and pen holder.

I will be holding a Christmas giftables class on November 1st at 11am so email me if you are interested. We will be using a Simple Scrappin Kit to create the box and design the cards. You will also have enough materials to go home and create more boxes if you desire. I will have pricing and more details as time gets closer.

Here is a close up of the stamp holder, pen holder and post it pad

The card and tag boxes

A second box created from the same kit...I created a note pad or address book with this one instead of a post it pad.

Cards yet to be created for this yet......Stay tuned!

Happy Birthday!

My friend Kirstin's son had a 5th birthday party. Kirstin got me started in this addictive hobby so I wanted to make a fun, wow card for her son. She had a rockin' movie party. The kiddos got to eat popcorn and watch a movie in the backyard...very cute! I wanted to create a card with the movie theme....The idea came from a smaller Sizzix ticket die cut. I enlarged it to make a fun card. The Seat is his age, section is the first letter of his name J, the numbers are the date of the party....

Stamps: Hugs and Wishes, Under the Stars
Paper: Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, Pacific Point
Ink: Pacific Point, Basic Black
Accessories: Basic Black marker, 1"circle punch, sprial punch,

Simple Birthday Thanks....

This is a fun stamp set!! I stamped this awesome card with my stamping partner in crime Valerie! We cased it from a fellow blogger and I am sorry but don't remember where we got it. If it is yours please let me know so we can give proper credit.

We crimped the base of the cupcake to look like a real cupcake liner, added eyelets for sprinkles as well as a simple thank you! A fun card you must try!

The inside of this card makes it great for a child's birthday thank you card! You can leave this off and make a more adult card as well. The cupcakes are from our buddy the Sock Monkey.

Stamps: Simple Birthday Thanks, Sock Monkey
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, Black
Paper: Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Basic Black Marker (For coloring and stamping the cupcake), crimper, white grosgrain ribbon, hemp, small oval punch, eyelets, cropodile, versamark, scissors (a lot of cutting) and Iridescent Ice (cherry)

Stamping Family

"To love what we do and share what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments...in this we make a difference"
Stampin' Up! Statement of the Heart

Here is a card I created for fabulous downline. My two girls came to me out of the blue and are truly a blessing. I try to live by this motto in my stamping business. It is what got me started, to love what I do and share what I love...I love to teach and love to stamp...why not combine the two.

Thank you Cathy and Anne for joining my team!

Music to my ears....non stamping topic

Lame title I know but I had to show the cute, cute MP3 player my sweet husband got me for our anniversary back in July. The anniversary was in July but I didn't get the player until a few weeks ago...long story. :-)

It is tiny and fits in the palm of my hand. Now I can listen to my favorite tunes and not hear the boys (hubby and son) rough housing in the background! I can also listen to Dave Ramsey podcasts which I enjoy hearing as well....but mainly my favorite songs... YAY!!!

Under the Stars...

Here is another cute card using the Under the Stars set. I cased this idea from a fellow stamper on Splitcoast....Thank you Stampwithjoni for the inspiration.

I used the tag punch to make the saloon doors instead of the tab punch. I also incorporated our in colors into the card for a demo swap I am part of on Monday night.

Stamps:Under the Stars, Wild About You

Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate chip, Summer Sun, Baja Breeze, Really Rust

Ink: Chocolate chip, Basic Black, Versamark

Accessories: watercolor crayons, 1"circle punch, small star punch, large tag punch, ticket corner punch, brads, crimper

Under the Stars...

Under the Stars is one of the fabulous stamp sets that Stampin' Up! is offering this month for 15% off! You have until September 30th to get this stamp set at the discounted price. You don't want to miss it either, this is a FUN stamp set, even for someone that isn't an outdoorsy type.

This card was inspired by: Flowerbug... She has the dimensions and directions to make this fabulous card. If you need help though I am always happy to help and teach! :-)

I thought this set would make a cute Accordion Card....I alternated turning the squares back and forth. I rolled the belly band with the skeeter wheel and put the skeeter spray on dimensionals. A very fun card to make and pretty simple....

Stamps: Under the Stars, Smarty Pants, Skeeter Wheel
Paper: Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, Really Rust, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Water color crayons, blender pen, small oval punch, sticky tape

Flying Bear Tutorial! My First Tutorial!!

This is my first tutorial so bear (LOL) with me please! Constructive criticism appreciated and welcomed...just be kind! :-)

Supplies:
Stamps: Under the Stars
Paper: Natural Ivory, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Summer Sun
Ink: Basic Black, Summer Sun
Accessories:
3 brads (color does not matter, they will not be seen)
1" circle punch
hobby blade
cutting mat
scissors
paper piercer
dimensionals

For the card featured you will also need:
Small and large oval punch

1. Color the bear stamp using a Basic Black marker omitting his arms. Then stamp on Natural Ivory cardstock.

2. Using a hobby blade cut slits where the arms should be

3. Next stamp 3 full bears onto cardstock. I drew lines on the two where I cut the arms out so you can see how long the pieces need to be. The third bear is for the final card...you will see him later. Cut the arms out, keeping the pieces long. You can trim later.

4. Here are the arms cut out

5. This is probably a good time to stop and color the bear and his arms. He will be covered but you will see some of him. Here I am punching a hole in the arm and the body to attach a brad.

Attach both arms separately with brads.

6. Move the arms so that they cross over each other on the back and punch a hole in the center of both arms.

7. Attach a piece of chipboard (scrap). The brad will not go to the front of the bear, just with the arms and chipboard.

8. Here he is all ready to be finished....
A look at the back of the piece. I trimmed the longer pieces so they hide under the chipboard and don't hit each other. It makes the bear fly smoother.
9. Using a 1" circle punch, punch a half circle on the bottom of the card. Punch an additional 1" circle to put over the chipboard arm. I took the second bear and colored him and cut him out with out the arms. I placed him over the original bear using dimensionals.

Here he is finished....Not the same card we saw at convention but he does fly!!
