Happy Birthday Invite!

Cooper got an invite to a birthday part from my fellow stamper Valerie and I just have to share it!

She is having a Pizza Party for her daughter! How cute is this slice of pizza!
The pizza uses the Sizzix pennant die, baskets and blooms, and punches.

The inside is done with a Sizzix alphabet die and the 3 is stamped.

I am looking forward to this fun party! Doesn't it make you want to come along too?

Great job Valerie!! Check out her blog...there are some neat things on there!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Here are 10 fun cards I created for my Dad's wife Ava for Valentine's day. I had a lot of fun coming up with the cards. Some of the ideas are direct cases from splitcoasters and some are my own ideas. Feel free to leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I created matching envelopes for each one but blogger isn't liking my pictures right now.

I used the stamp sets Happy Heart Day and Love You Much!

Technique Tuesday!

I love stamping and I really love Technique Tuesdays!! Technique Tuesday's force me out of my little box and make me try new things. I love trying to find new techniques as well as new projects. If you want to come and learn then join us on the third Tuesday of each month! You will get to make three instruction cards like you see below and three cards using the technique. Cost is $10 or $5 with a $25 purchase. The Technique Ring also works as a cardstock sampler as well. It is never to late to start learning how to use those awesome stamping supplies you have accumulated.

Here are the cards we did for January's Technique Tuesday!

Bouncy Card!
I got this awesome card idea from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. When I saw her tutorial I immediately thought of these cute balloons!

Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes, Pun Fun
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango, Chocolate chip, whisper white
Accessories: Tag punch, blender pens, neutrals water color crayons, wire, Tangerine Tango striped ribbon

Hinge Fold Card!
The technique card for this would not load correctly so I will just tell you a little about this fun card! It is a 4.25x11 card scored at 1.25 and glued down creating a fun 4.25 x 4.25 card. The top part can be rolled with a wheel, decorated with brads or buttons or even tied with a ribbon.
Stamps: A flower for all Seasons, Outlined for fun
Paper: Not quite navy, so saffron, whisper white, Not Quite Navy DP (from retired hostess pack)
Ink: black, not quite navy
Accessories: markers, versamark pen (colored in letters on word), 1 3/4" circle punch, So Saffron Grosgrain ribbon (Sale-a-bration ribbon: Contact me today to get it FREE!)

Split Negative Zebra!
How cute is this card? I sent this to my mom for her birthday. I love the regal rose, black and white combination. If you look closely you will notice on my technique card the image didn't line up exactly, for the card I just trimmed it. I am not perfect so don't be hard on yourself if yours comes out a little off too!

I got the idea for this super cute Zebra from several different samples on Splitcoast! Thanks SCS stamper for the inspiration!

Stamps: Zoofari, On Your Birthday
Ink: Basic Black, Regal Rose, Whisper White Craft
Paper: Regal Rose, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: paper cutter, large oval, wide oval, regal 5/8" grosgrain ribbon

Marisol created this one. Jolly Santa and festive colors!

My downline Cathy created this sweet gold embossed card!

Same materials, Different card!

I have made a challenge with my fellow demos to post each week so you are going to start seeing more stamping, I hope! :-)

My last club meeting for one of my groups was on Thursday night. I was at a loss on what to do for the final projects. Fast forward to the Tuesday before the Thursday club meeting when I sprained my knee and put myself on crutches for the next two weeks. I was so not in the mood to sit and cut out paper...mini pity party that week. I found some already cut out cardstock from a workshop in December and decided to work with it. Here is what I came up with...

Sock Monkey Love!
Thanks to my awesome stamping buddy Valerie, I also created this adorable top note bag to go along with the card. I had the idea but she really helped me bring it to life! (thank you Valerie)

Stamps: Sock Monkey, Just B
Ink: Riding Hood Red
Paper: Close to Cocoa, Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Alpine Ribbon (Holiday Mini)

Here is what the original card looked like and then my Valentine change!

The top note Monkey Bag was very easy to create! The small bags can be bought at most craft stores and then cut down to 3 inches tall. I adhered the top note with sticky strip and used the large oval to cut the handle. Be careful when punching that you fold the outside edges out so you don't cut the bag.

Stamps: Sock Monkey, Holiday and Wishes
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Close to Cocoa
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Close to Cocoa
Accessories: Cocoa Marker, small white paper bag, large oval punch, word window punch, Alpine Ribbon.
